This is how people get away with voting fraud....

As you can tell by the title of thislatest blog, it doesn't have anything to do with school or the LIRR, but I feel the need to get this out anyway...

Being that I will be in NYC on Election Day (and far from my polling place), I applied for an absentee ballot today. The application asked for nothing more than your name and address and the reason why you would not be able to vote on Election Day. Okay, so I bring my ID with me and head to the Board of Elections. I hand over my application and am escorted to the backroom so I can vote. Ummmm no ID check? What the HELL is that about???? So technically I can go in as long as I know someone's name and address and I can vote in their place....how does that seem legal?

In these days of people making fake names and voting numerous times, I would think an ID check would be the least they could do...they don't even ask for your birthdate or SS #....it's CRAZY!!

The last election I voted in, my friend Tara & I went together, and were both pissed that ID's were not looked at in TWO polling places (she votes in a different district than myself), so I guess it's a repeat thing, no ID? Thats ok, you can vote....

Is anyone else disturbed by this?????
